Luis Costa is a Dj and journalist, or journalist and dj, it is not clear where one begins and where the other does. Two sides of the same story, a man hung by music who has spent years collecting and playing music. The 90s saw him go from pop to electronic, fully entering the club culture. Detroit, Chicago, Sheffield, techno, house, IDM, electro, post-punk, italo, disco, EBM ..., are electronic herbs that have never been missing from their sets.
He has been a resident of the Lolita room at Razzmatazz since 2009 and since 2013 he has organized the Dancetería party, where Moscoman, Zombies in Miami, Curses, Cosmo Vitelli or Damon Jee, among others, have passed. And more recently Destination Moon, together with Fledermaus, with a monthly stop at Freedonia, where it also programs artists.
On 2019 he has released his Autogas edit by the pioneering Spanish synth wave and proto techno band TodoTodo, in a 12 ”on Frigio Records. He is the author of the book ¡Bacalao! Oral History of Dance Music in Valencia 1980 - 1995 (Contra, 2016) and collaborates in various media such as La Vanguardia, Mondo Sonoro, Ocimag, Clubbing in Spain or Qualsevol Nit.
