UNDERRATED!! & Hot Cocoa?? | Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary Episodes 1 & 2 Live Reaction 小市民シリーズ

I recognize this series may not be for everyone but I generally am a sucker for short mystery series that also involve character development and high school settings. As a Hyouka fan I was happy to hear the author was having another series as an anime adaptation and these two episodes brought me a lot of joy! I'm so curious about Jougorou and Osanai as characters. In particular similar to my GOAT of hot chocolate Kengo, I also wonder what caused Jougorou to decide to give up mystery solving and become a very different person set on not standing out. It's clear this event took place in middle school and I assume Osanai was also in his middle school when they made the vow to help each other become perfectly ordinary. I found the situations in this story thus far from crazy (purse theft for a love confession, biek theft and strawberry shortcake death, and the great hot chocolate scandal of 2024) but the way Jougorou thinks through scenarios is so intriguing and I find myself enjoying the journey as I too try to think through the scenarios. Great mystery elements combined with so far enjoyable characters!

He secretly formed a reciprocal relationship with his classmate, Osanai, who shared the same aspiration, planning to make their high school debut as ordinary citizens and lead peaceful days.
