My 22 year old Kenmore top load washing machine quit. The motor is just humming but not turning and the wires got so hot they melted off the electrical tape. I narrowed it down to the motor or capacitor and also a possible issue with the water level switch since those wires also got hot. I ordered all 3 parts off eBay and will show the replacement when they arrive. These old machines are much better built than then new ones, so I will keep it running as long as it is economical to do so
