Two years ago I noticed that approximately 4 LED lights were out on 3rd brake light on my 2007 DTS. At that time I removed and inspected the light and decided not to take it apart and look for a new one.
New lights were between $100 and $300 on the internet. Even more at the dealer. So I just continued driving the car and looked on EBay frequently.
Not having any luck I decided to take the light apart and replace the LED light strip.
