A complete beginners guide to making cap moulds for handmade dice
Make a cap mould from start to finish with these step by step instructions and useful tips. There are many different ways to make moulds for casting dice, cap moulds offer great access for inclusions and manipulation of resin, and this is how I do it :)
Before you start make sure you have everything you need:
Gloves
Cleaning materials
Silicone moulding material
Foam Board
Packing tape
Craft knife
Scales or Measuring cups
Stirrers
Master Dice
Vaseline or Mould release agent
Optional - Vacuum chamber or pressure pot
Always be safe and work in a well ventilated area whilst wearing correct PPE. Always follow your individual products instructions and adapt this process accordingly
