MetroTV, The occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem celebrated Christmas on Thursday with a traditional morning mass at the Church of the Nativity. This was the first celebration after two years of disruption due to war. Footage showed worshippers attending religious ceremonies inside the church, as well as visitors and tourists walking the city streets, enjoying the festive atmosphere. Street vendor Mohammed Kawasba expressed his joy, saying, “After two years of struggle without visitors or tourists, the city is finally coming back to life.” Bethlehem Mayor Maher Canawati said the festive atmosphere sends a message to the world about the Palestinian people's love of life and peace and their readiness to welcome visitors from around the world.
