The reopening of Ramsbottom Station as part of the East Lancashire Railway from Bury to Ramsbottom.
Inscribed stone by the main door to the station "Ramsbottom Station opened by His Worship the Mayor of Bury Metropolitan Borough Councillor Alan Matthews 19th June 1989."
Last good train from Rawtenstall to Bury 5th December 1980.
ELR opened the Bury to Ramsbottom line on 25th July 1987.
Ramsbottom to Rawtenstall extension opened 27th April 1991.
