After a long run of faithful service, DART's Route 722, also known as the D-Link, is coming to an end. Less than a year ago, the D-Link received brand new Proterra electric buses, the newest of DART's fleet. Despite the exiting new technology, low ridership prevailed, and this free service was brought to an end.
Near the halfway point of our journey, we encountered a rare electrical malfunction with our bus. With some effort, the driver was able to get us back on the road, but the bus was placed out of service. I omitted this from the video, but I'll go into more detail in a future video.
