We grew up reading Alexandru Mitru's "Legendele Olimpului" (The Legends of Olympus) and listening to Black Sabbath.

​"Our Lost Sister", inspired by Ancient Greek myths and desert rock riffs, is an electric offering to the Pleiades, the daughters of the Titan Atlas and the Oceanid Pleione.

​The myth of the Seven Sisters stars is one of the world’s oldest stories—possibly the oldest—dating back as far as 100,000 years. It exists across cultures, oceans, and deserts, with countless variations. This album is our own retelling.

​Sappho, the poetess, gifted us with a profound thematic influence:

​"The sinking moon has left the sky,
​The Pleiades have also gone.
​Midnight comes–and goes, the hours fly
​And solitary still, I lie."

​The title and the first two tracks, "Our Dear Sister" and "Merope", refer to the youngest of the seven sisters. She was the only one to marry a mortal man, Sisyphus, and because of this, she became a mortal herself and faded away. In other variants, she dimmed her light out of grief for her family's tragedies.

"Golden Gate of the Ecliptic Blues" is a familial love song about the Golden Gate of the Ecliptic, an asterism formed by the Pleiades and the Hyades, the latter being daughters of Atlas and half-sisters to the Pleiades.

Numerous stories mention the "Sky Dance" of the Pleiades. In some variants, they dance to flee Orion, in others they dance to mourn their father's punishment, and in others they perform graceful ritual dances symbolizing rain, life, death, and renewal.

Desperate to escape Orion's earthly chase and begging for mercy, the Pleiades were eventually placed in the night sky as a cluster of stars. "The Hunter" later joined them in the sky, resulting in a never-ending chase.

"Our Father, The Endurer" is dedicated to the Titan Atlas. His name is thought to be derived from a root meaning "to bear" or "to endure". This ties directly to his eternal punishment of holding up the heavens, a task that requires immense strength and endless perseverance. Hesiod characterizes him as "the Endurer", emphasizing the symbolic weight of his punishment, resilience, and role as a cosmic stabilizer.

"Mount Ziria" (also known as Cyllene) is the birthplace of the Pleiades, their mother Pleione, and the god Hermes, son of Maia, the eldest of the seven sisters. It's revered as a liminal place—a threshold between the earthly and the divine, where mortals may seek guidance. Its caves echo with sacredness.
