In 1987 I took a semester off from college and went to Japan to "teach English". While there, a couple of my buddies flew over to visit and stayed with me for a week. We borrowed a friend's video camera (the old-school, shoulder-mount VHS type that weighed about 20lbs!) and headed to Tokyo for the day armed with just a few phrases of Japanese "in search of Godzilla"... and any other novelties we could find... Note: At the time, Japan was pretty much only known in the for making good cars, electronics, samurai, and of course Godzilla.
This is a re-upload of the video I posted in 2008. Better quality upload than in those early days of YouTube.
