Roads for lions and tigers

When it rains in South Africa, it pours! The habitats at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary are green and lush and our natural wells feeding the residents’ habitats are full. But with more rains than usual this year we have a serious problem. Our lion and tiger habitats cover over 60 acres and are connected by almost two miles of internal dirt roads. Vital for lifelong feeding and daily care, these are becoming increasingly churned up and, on certain days, some are impassable.
Help us level the roads and lay almost 2 miles of gravel, with bridges and pipes to drive over the seasonal watercourses. This huge project will benefit all the animals in the sanctuary, and future residents, and will cost $45,000 / £33,000.
Without these roads we will be unable to add habitats to rescue more animals and run the risk of being prevented from getting a sick lion or tiger to hospital during heavy rains.
Every contribution will help, and if you are able to make a substantial donation of $4,000 / £3,000 or more, you will be able to name a road and we will erect a road sign with your chosen name.
An anonymous donor has offered a $10,000 matching donation. If we can raise $10,000 it will be doubled, and we will be almost halfway to our target!
