Bonn is a beautiful city on the Rhine and as Germany's former capital, it's packed with history. We spent a lot of time in the excellent Haus der Geschichte, a free museum that tells the story of modern Germany in a really engaging way. We also explored the area around the old federal government buildings and the UN Campus.

Of course no trip to Bonn is complete without a visit to the Haribo Store – the birthplace of the Goldbears! We also stopped by the Lindt chocolate shop for a full sweet-tooth experience. In the city's pretty Old Town, we explored the historic Marktplatz (Market Square) and saw the famous Beethoven House, the birthplace of the composer, and explored its gift shop.

Bonn is super easy to reach from Cologne and makes a great day trip if you’re in the region. Whether you're into history, candy or just want to enjoy a picturesque riverside city, Bonn is well worth a visit! We hope this vlog gives you some inspiration for your own trip.
