Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 Minimum Recruitment LTC - Final Chapter

Here it is, the final chapter where I am allowed to deployed all my 18 units. In order to unlock the throne and final boss in the central area, I must have 1 unit on the center of each of the 6 altars at the end of the enemy turn, each of them being guarded by a strong sub-boss/morph, 1 sorcerer and 2 additional enemies. For convenience sake, Leif's altar will be numbered 1 and then numbers 2 to 6 will be in counterclockwise direction. Since I can't rearrange my units order in the preparation menu, the choices of deployment I made since chapter 22 were made so that I could have a good deployment order for this chapter.

The 6 sorcerers have a long range Fenrir tome and can OHKO most of my units with it, partly because all the altars are filled with magic tiles which grant +10 Mag to units standing on them, so they must be dealt with on turn 1. My first option is to kill them with 2 range weapons, without opening the door, which is hardly possible in my army given than 13 of my units are sword locked for this chapter. My only units who can do it are Osian, Selphina, Fergus with a double crit and Halvan with a crit if I had a Hand Axe... Even if I do this, it can be dangerous for my units depending on the altar, as all of them have at least one enemy with a 2 range brave weapon, with the notable exception of altar 5 where there is only 2 armors with laughably weak poison bows.

The second option is to open the door and kill them from 1 range, which is possible for a few more of my units, but at the cost of exposing them to all the other enemies of the altar, including the morph, except if my third unit for this altar can somehow deal with him first. My last option is to let the sorcerer alive and have all my units in range tank the hit, as I have 6 units who can reliably take the hit, and ~7 units who may be able take it if they use my last Pure Water and if the sorcerer doesn't have too much Mag. However this option doesn't really apply to altars 3 and 5 as their sorcerers are also in range of altar 4.

Out of the 6 morphs, Canis (Sara) from altar 3 must also be killed on turn 1, else she will accurately berserk my highest HP unit every turn, and is more generally a pain to kill with Miracle and Wrath, so the sooner she is dead the better. Mus (Raydrik) from altar 1 has the Loptrian Fang and must be killed by either Leif or Fergus with the Bragi's Blade (Nanna can't reliably kill him). For the 4 other morphs, I can either fight them normally, put them to sleep, or bait them out of the seal.

Altars 4 to 6 have weak enemies (Hammer or poison weapons) apart from the morphs, so most of my fighting power was put into altars 1 to 3. Leif can solo altar 1 just fine, but it means that one of my staff user will need to rescue him later on, which is why Nanna was put in his group for this purpose, as well as providing support to him and Callion. I checked the armor stats at the beginning to be sure that Callion could tank at least one of his attacks, each of them having ~55% accuracy against him.

Finn is my only unit who is the most likely to win against Canis, thanks to his Miracle skill to eventually survive the Wrath counter attack, for a ~37% chance of success. Since he must use the Kingmaker to do so, he was accompanied by Macha as she can't do much herself without the Kingmaker. As such, she will face 4 attacks from the armor on the next enemy phase, hence why I gave her as much avoid as possible in the previous chapters. Each attack has ~35% accuracy against her, and she can only tank one.

Altar 2 is very dangerous with 3 enemies with brave weapons. With Fergus, Karin and Glade with my Pure Water, they are safe from the sorcerer as long as he has less than 13 Mag, with is very likely. By opening the door but not killing him, I am forcing him to block the only tile from where the Brave Bow armors could have attacked Fergus, while the morph (who looks like one of my old units who mysteriously disappeared) will suicide into him, making the altar far more bearable.

Altar 4 is where Linoan started, which is more or less mandatory given that she had to start next to Leif in the previous chapter. She must enter the altar to start to put to sleep some morphs, and since this put her next to Bovis (Galzus), he is the first one put to sleep. Selphina and Osian easily dealt with their sorcerers, and Nanna healed everyone with a Fortify.

Turn 2 is the cleanup of altars 1 to 3, Nanna rescuing Karin and Linoan using her staff for whatever went wrong in the previous enemy phase, in my case Osian no killing Draco (Eyvel) so I put her to sleep to ensure he could kill her. Also, Halvan had a hard time hitting the sleeping Bovis, so base stats Alba with a Slim Sword had to help him in this mission...
