MOROCCO VLOG🇲🇦 | Rabat & Fes Travel Vlog | June 2023✈️✨

Welcome to today's vlog and join us on a cultural trip to North Africa. We visit the cities of Rabat (the capital) and Fes in Morocco!🇲🇦

This was part of a University Summer School, paid for by my University Manchester Met. As a tourism student, it was incredible to experience such a different culture, food and architecture. We stayed at the Onomo Hotel Medina Rabat and had an amazing time meeting new people from my uni, other unis and local people alike🤩.

THINGS I'VE LEARNT ABOUT MOROCCO:

🌞 Morocco is a very hot country as it has a tropical climate.

👑 Their political system is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy which means they has a Prime Minister but also a long line of Kings (never a Queen) who still has constitutional powers.

🕌 More than 99% of the Moroccan population are Muslim and blasphemy remains a punishable offence.

🐱 There are sadly a lot of stray animals, particularly cats which is heartbreaking to see…

🥻Traditional clothing in Morocco is still very popular and can be purchased from many market stalls around the Medina and Souks, western visitors in general should try to keep shoulders/knees covered.

🍽️ Food in Morocco ranges from Tagine to Cous Cous, their dishes tend to be served without sauce so be prepared for that.

These are just a few of the things I learnt but I would love to return and explore more areas of Morocco such as Marrakesh in the future…🗺️
