In this video I talk about how life is in the Philippines countryside and why I enjoyed the time I spent there and will likely go back in the future.

As I didn't mention it in the video I want to be clear, the Philippines has very easy residency options for foreigners who are financially independent or retiring, so if the Philippines countryside sounds right for you then it's easily achievable - although I'd still have yourself a visit first before committing to moving over the the Philippines.
