Once there was a village. Waterside, East dunbartonshire, Scotland.

A follow up short film to 'once there was a park'. The village of Waterside is a village on the outskirts of Kirkintilloch, East dunbartonshire. In recent years, a lot of housing development and urban sprawl has been very prominent to the point that there is concern amongst the community that the village greenspace is being replaced by developments and housing. In the 9 months or so since I filmed the original short film, i've certainly noticed a big difference in the area surrounding the village. This film is my way of sharing the differences to the landscape from a birds eye view. It's sure to raise discussion and as someone who was once a resident of the village, im not 100% sure what the benefits of all this development will be to the community. Its not my place to say now as I no longer live in the village , but if you have an opinion or a comment to make, it will be welcome.
