This tree was repoted last year (March 2020) so during the season no work was done to it. No candle pruning (mekiri) and no wiring. Just left to grow. In just few months, the pot is filled with fine, fibrous roots, they even come out of the top of the soil and they pushed the tree out of place. Still we chose not to repot second year in a row, not ot weaken it. Instead we will develop the branches out (lose that almost two dimensional feel) and thicken the first branch with a sacrifice tip. The first branch was grafted in 2016 and the lowest back branch was approach grafted the same year.
