褒忠亭義民廟235週年慶●3座祭祀醮壇●義民祭賽神豬 | A7CII

新埔義民廟從1835年首次以豬羊牲禮祭拜酬謝神恩，迄今有187年的歷史，在全省40座義民廟中，也只有新埔義民廟採用神豬神羊的「少牢之禮」。義民廟總幹事彭成勤指出，上一次舉辦遶境是義民廟建廟220週年祈福建醮，一般廟宇改建或修整或動土都會「打醮」以祈求風調雨順，是屬於不定期舉辦的醮典；在這次圓醮慶典委員會擔任總幹事張福普指出，義民廟創廟235年以來，義民爺只有繞境3次，分別是1988年建廟200週年，2008年建廟220週年以及今年的235週年。

Generally, when temples are rebuilt or repaired, or when earth is being moved, they will have a "jiao-festival" to pray for good weather conditions and it is a jiao-festival that is held from time to time; Zhang Fupu, who was the chief executive of the Jiao-festival Committee, pointed out that since the founding of Yimin Temple 235 years ago, Yimin Temple has only been paralleled three times, namely, the 200th anniversary of the founding of Yimin Temple in 1988 and the 2nd anniversary in 2008, when Yimin Temple was built. In 1988, it was the 200th anniversary of the founding of the temple, in 2008, it was the 220th anniversary of the founding of the temple, and this year, it is the 235th anniversary.
