GE Digital APM: Reducing Equipment Operating Costs through Reliability Distribution Analysis

Production managers must balance downtime costs with costs for maintenance and repair. In some cases this may require maintenance programs to be increased for maximum overall cost effectiveness.

This recorded demo will show how the reliability of a causing asset from the previous videos can be further improved by ensuring preventive maintenance is optimized for minimum total operating costs. This will employ failure data for the asset associated with the production losses, in conjunction with maintenance and downtime costs, to determine the optimum maintenance interval using Reliability Distribution Analysis. This will then be used to adjust the Asset Strategy for the desired results.
