In this video I show all of the steps required to replace the switch for a bumper button. This fixes a problem where a bumper button is not working or works intermittently and it doesn't appear to be physically damaged.
This fix requires patience, an interest in DIY and soldering/de-soldering tools! These tools can almost cost the same as a new controller, however once you have them, the switches are very cheap for any future repairs.
The same tools can also be used to replace analogue sticks, switches etc in other controllers / computer mice etc.
