Make Music Day 2020 - This American Song (Delaware)

Y'ALL WHAT A JOURNEY THIS WAS!

I am so honored to have been an official part of Make Music Day this year in a new initiative called This American Song. Basically, they found 50 songwriters and paired each of them up with someone from one of the 50 states to write a song inspired by their personal stories. I was lucky enough to meet a woman from Delaware, who shared with me her love for painting and the Delaware coast line - so that's what I wrote my song about!

I recorded the whole process so y'all could watch me write a song from start to finish! Obviously, every time I write a song, the process is a little different, but this is what it looked like on this particular day. I've included timestamps below to help y'all follow along.
