Morton Simon (track 8 from "Possibilities")
Mike's surprise encounter with a mouse in the garage led to the creation of a song about a mouse who has high aspirations for a dance career. "Morton Simon" takes the mouse's point of view of the garage incident, and the song became part of our 1974 LP "Possibilities" (which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year). The popularity of "Morton Simon" among kids eventually led to our first children's recording, "Beasties, Bumbershoots and Lullabies" in 1989, where a new recording of the song was included. But the original is here, enjoying its 50th birthday.
