Devi's Fall | Phokhara | Nepal
Tips/Highlights - Devi's Fall is a waterfall situated in Pokhara - Nepal. The water creates a tunnel once it hits the bottom. This tunnel measures around 500 feet in length and is located 100 feet beneath the surface. On 31 July 1961, a Swiss couple went swimming, but the woman drowned in a pit due to the overflow. Her body was found in the Phusre River three days later with significant effort. Her father wanted to call it "David's Fall" in honor of his daughter but opted for Devi's Fall instead. Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which literally translates to Paatal Ko Chango, meaning "Waterfall of the Underworld."
