Milk Bar Popcorn Cake from Christina Tosi

The Popcorn Cake from Milk Bar is seriously a piece of art. Christina Tosi has made some pretty unique desserts, but this one has got to be at the top of the list. The main ingredient is popcorn, and lots of it. You use it in every part of this layer cake. From the cake itself, popcorn pudding, corn fudge, popcorn crumbs, popcorn milk, caramel popcorn and salty caramel. I was excited to give this recipe a try, and I can confirm, you've never had anything like this before. Christina Tosi (Momofuku) is known for taking a very unusual combination of ingredients and putting them together to make some pretty interesting treats: birthday cake, crack pie, compost cookie. I think this popcorn cake takes the...cake.
