San Simón Cabins is a stunning architectural project by Weber Arquitectos, located in the forested Valle de Bravo region of Mexico. Spanning a 5,000-square-meter site, the project comprises five separate structures, including a main residence, a social cabin, and three guest cabins. This design minimizes environmental impact by preserving the natural vegetation and integrating the buildings with the existing trees. The cabins are constructed with volcanic stone and local pine wood, blending seamlessly into their surroundings. Each structure features terraces, framed wooden lattices for filtered light and privacy, and interior patios filled with greenery, enhancing the connection to nature. The sober, modern interiors use a palette of grays, black accents, and white oak furniture, creating a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Unique details like open circular patio roofs for tree integration, slanted roofs, and thoughtful spatial arrangements reflect a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics, making San Simón Cabins a remarkable example of sustainable, nature-centric design.
