Carl Bessai is a writer/director/producer/cinematographer based in Vancouver, BC and Los Angeles, California. He studied at OCAD University and at York University in Toronto graduating with a Master of Fine Arts Degree. His feature films have appeared in numerous festivals including Sundance, Berlin and Toronto and have been released theatrically around the world.

His films have won numerous critics’ prizes, jury prizes and film awards
and he has directed some of the world’s leading acting talent including Sir Ian McKellen (Emile, Lord of the Rings, X-Men), Carrie Ann Moss (Normal, The Matrix Films), Bruce Greenwood (Rehearsal, Star Trek), Tantoo Cardinal (Mothers&Daughters, Dances with Wolves), and Bruce Dern (The Lears, Nebraska). His film ‘The Lears’ won an Irish Academy Award (IFTA) for actress Victoria Smurfit.

VINCENT GALE - ACTOR AND CO-PRODUCER
Vincent Gale received his stage training at the Royal Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland, and his credits include Beggars in the House of Plenty, in which he appeared with Babz Chula, Criminals in Love, The Miracle Worker, and The Relapse.

He won a Best Dramatic Actor Award from The Alberta Motion Picture Industry for his role of "Jimmy" in Bordertown Café. He won the Canadian Academy award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Last Wedding and the BC academy ward for Best supporting actor in Van Helsing. He previously collaborated with director Carl Bessai on Fathers&Sons.
