I won £500 to spend in Harvey Nichols - Thanks to Mary Portas & Waterstones | Look Around With Me

Back in October, I received an email telling me I had won a competition. I hadn't realised I had entered a competition, so I was a little confused and googled everything, making sure it was legit, and thankfully it was!

I had been entered into a competition to win a £500 gift card for Harvey Nichols, and £50 towards travel to my nearest store (which for me was London). This happened by me pre-ordering the Mary Portas 'I Shop, Therefore I Am' book.

I have followed Mary Portas for years, and I have all her books and strongly align with her 'Kindness Economy' business ethos. I also became obsessed with Edina and Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous in my teens, so this competition meant a lot.

Like many of us at the moment, we're feeling the pinch financially, so to be able to have this moment and feel like we could spoil ourselves meant so much! Especially after losing my Father in June. 2025 has been a tough year and this really helped to lift the fog that this year has brought, for both my Niece and I.
