In this video we visit Newstead Abbey Gardens situated in Nottinghamshire The Abbey has 300 acres of parkland which are free to visit.
The Gardens include 16 areas including a Japanese Garden and Walled Garden. There are a number of lakes fed by the River Lean. There are many waterfalls and some beautiful walks around the Parkland to enjoy.
The Abbey is the ancestral home of Lord Byron in Nottinghamshire.
We see how the garden reflects 900 years since the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII
