The “Manifesto of Futurism” by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti was published on the front page of the French newspaper Le Figaro on February 20, 1909. Starting from a group of poets, futurism quickly spread to other fields of art. Its call for abandoning the past and embracing the future echoes to this day.
