This video is a Neocolor II swatch and colour comparison reference, focusing on discontinued and limited edition Neocolor II water-soluble wax pastels shown alongside the permanent collection.
I swatch 106 non-metallic Neocolor II colours, including 67 regular colours, 30 out of 35 discontinued and 9 out of 15 limited edition colours, to document colours that are no longer available and compare them with current favourites.
Around ten years ago, the Neocolor II range was reduced from 126 to 84 colours. This video documents the colours we lost, the limited editions that followed, and how they relate to the current permanent Neocolor II range.
Swatches are shown both dry and water-activated on Fabriano mixed media paper to give a realistic impression of colour, value, and behaviour.
This 71-minute long-form video is intended as a visual archive and reference for artists, collectors, and anyone searching for Neocolor II colour comparisons between permanent, discontinued, and limited edition colours.
