In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Deep Fringe (Early Access). Deep Fringe is a tactical turn based strategy RPG with squad management set in a biopunk post-apocalyptic wasteland. Deep Fringe shares similar game mechanics with X-COM, Jagged Alliance 3, Grit and Valor - 1949, Battletech, Mechwarrior, Gladiator Guild Manager, Menace, The Last Spell, Battle Brothers, Wartales, Band of Crusaders, Slave of Magic, and Wasteland. The premise of the game has you managing a base where you can recruit squad members and buy gears with the resources you earn from your successful missions. Going on mission allows you to bring certain squad members based on their point value, sort of like Tonnage Limit in Battletech and Mechwarrior. Deploy your unit on the Hex Grid Based battle field starting location and then complete Map Mission objectives. It has a unique terraforming mechanic where certain unit is used to raise and lower tiles changing the elevation of the landscape. Since certain units get attack advantage from certain heights. The game is still in early access development, with a lot of bugs and game issues that needs to be addressed but overall, it's very promising. I highly recommend adding it to your Wishlist.
