Oh, Anya Jenkins. The best of the best. You deserved so much better, and I loved you so much.

This was SO not the video I had planned to edit and upload this week. But I have been slowly rewatching BtVS the past few months, and just wrapped up s6. She deserved so much better than how the Scoobies belittled and dismissed her, the way Xander treated her, and the way she was killed off in the end. It makes me furious. (I have a LOT of thoughts about how the writers treated Anya, Spike, and Tara in s6. Giles too. It's infuriating.) She was wonderful, she was hilarious, she had her entire world-view turned upside down and learned to be human, learned to love, learned to care, learned to fight. While some characters either worsened or didn't grow at all across the show, Anya Jenkins had the most beautiful character development, and I wanted to focus on everything that she went through.
I didn't expect to make this, I truly didn't. I thought if I edited a solo vid for Anya, it would be a humour video, not a sad character study. But here we are. Still wanna make a humour video for her at some point, bc she is HILARIOUS and I adore her.

Have been absolutely THRILLED to see Emma Caulfield in Wandavision btw. She is such great talent, comedic and dramatic. Excited to see more of Dottie before the end of the season!
