34 years after the 1989 original cartoon, Disney has given The Little Mermaid the live action treatment. And it's paid off!
Starring Halle Bailey as Ariel, the live action tale follows a wide eyed mermaid called Ariel whose fascination with the above sea world gets her mixed up with her dad (King Triton's) wicked sister Ursula, the sea witch. In attempt to find true love with a human Prince named Eric, Ariel risks it all!
We spoke to Halle and Jonah Hauer-King (Prince Eric) about what playing these iconic characters means to them.
The Little Mermaid is in UK Cinemas May 26th.
