As for the "Howard Cutting Board Food Grade Mineral Oil", I dry off and clean my Straight Razor after I shave. Then apply a thin coat of Food Grade Mineral Oil to the blade for storage. I have given a link to "Howard Cutting Board Food Grade Mineral Oil" below, but you may be able to pick this up in your local grocery store as well.

Great Idea here how I Refresh a Straight Razor when it gets tuggy.

Apply Chromium Oxide (on the inside fabric side) of your Strop:
1. 30 Laps on the inside of the Fabric with Chromium Oxide.
2. Clean off any residue on the blade.
3. 30 Laps on the inside on the Suede Leather side.
4. Clean off any residue on the blade.
5. 20 Laps on the outside of the Clean Fabric side.
6. 60 Laps on Smooth Leather after rubbing the Leather side to warm it up, and we're Shave Ready.

Note: You may need more or less Laps for your Straight Razor, this is a good base line for me.

Quick Tip at 7:14:25 on Strop Maintence:
Check your Strop hardware to make sure all of the screws are tight.
