English is a very tricky and kind of confusing language, you could say. But for me, that is what makes it really really interesting! Most words in English are not spelled how they are spoken. Take the word “weird”, for example. This word isn’t spelled like it should be. The “e” and the “i” in the middle of the word create the “ee” sound. This is one of the main exceptions to a famous rule in English: “i” before “e”. So today, we will be taking a look at this very interesting rule and learn more about it!
