Welcome back to Turkey and our STREET FOOD IN TURKEY series! Today, we are eating our way through ADANA, one of the most famous cities for TURKISH STREET FOOD!

We eat Ciğer kebab (liver kebab) for breakfast, which was cooked over charcoal. The best way to enjoy liver kebabs is to cover them in cumin powder and eat the fatty chunks. Next, we wash down the street food kebab with Şalgam suyu (fermented purple carrot juice), which is very similar to Turkey’s pickle juices. Of course, we needed to try ADANA KEBAB in Adana, so we ordered two big plates. It was cooked to perfection over charcoal with loads of spice and was extremely JUICY!

Later, we visited Kazim Bufe to try their famous Banana Milkshake. It was served super cold, sweet and jam packed with fresh bananas. To end our amazing day of eating, we wanted to try another Adana specialty, which is Şırdan and Mumbar (braised and stuffed sheep intestine). Although we usually do not enjoy intestines, having all kinds of Turkish spices seasoning the dishes, it tasted quite delicious!

Also in the market was a traditional cafe serving amazing künefe and charcoal coffee. The künefe was made fresh and all handmade.
