Missouri Department of Conservation biologist, illustrator, and photographer Charles W. Schwartz (1914-1991) discusses life in Missouri as it was millions of years ago up through the Ice Age using fossil samples and live, in-studio illustrations. Almanac was a weekly television series that ran for at least seven episodes in 1955. This episode mentions horsetail (equisetum); three-toed box turtle; fossil turtle shell; fossil equisetum; fern; fossil fern; crinoid; brachiopod; nautilus; cephalopod; shark; trilobite; tapir; mastodon.
