If you would like to support the channel please check out my buddy's eBay shop (the-sling-king). He is selling a mix of his stuff and mine. If you mention "Nick Vending" in the notes to seller I will get a % on the sale of his items too. That way instead of you having to buy a rubbish t-shirt or sticker with some dumb logo on it (not naming any other channels in particular...) you will actually get something cool and / or useful.
Plus how to re-cock a de-cocked Tikka T3 / T3X bolt.
Always ensure your firearm is not loaded before starting any work.
As I had mentioned, I did not have any rounds of ammunition, dummy or live, present during any of the work. Never have live rounds present when you are working on a firearm.
For the avoidance of doubt, the rifle was not loaded at any point during the video. The bolt and magazine were in there to ensure that each change didn't stop me being able to close and cock the bolt and that the trigger and safety catch still functioned correctly. You should always test at least that functionality in a safe manner before taking your rifle out shooting.
Always check for and remove anything that falls down into the receiver, bolt, trigger, barrel, safety and magazine.
If the picatinny rail mentions torque settings then ensure that you follow them. I used my biological torque wrench on this occasion.
If anyone says, you closed the bolt and then pointed the muzzle up, yes, so? It was empty, you could see the empty magazine's platform prior to the bolt being closed and there was definitely no round in the chamber as there was no ammunition in the workshop. Also it was pointed at the camera, very much away from my face. But bless you for your concern, you're very sweet.
Polite note to YouTube, all modifications shown are safe and fully legal. The magazines shown only hold 5 and 9 rounds, they are not high capacity.
This is a bolt action rifle, nothing I do to it will ever make it semi or fully automatic.
The firearm and components are not for sale. I'm not a dealer.
I am not sponsored by any brands mentioned or seen in the video, everything was purchased with my own money.
