Isle of Mull Walking Week
22nd - 26th September 2025
We spent a week exploring this beautiful island off the west coast of Scotland. I was joined by my colleague Ross Christie, Mountain Leader, fluent Gaelic speaker and expert on all things Mull.
Monday - Dùn Da Ghaoithe 0:10
Tuesday - Iona 1:50
Wednesday - Salen to Loch na Keal 4:16
Thursday - Calgary & Treshnish 6:20
Friday - Ulva 8:12
Five days of beautiful autumnal weather, stunning mountains and coastline, peaceful islands, amazing wildlife (golden eagles, sea eagles, deer, adders, otters, buzzards...) and some incredible geology from the oldest rocks in the world on Iona to Mull's very own 'Giant's Causeway' on Ulva (formed in the same way as the Atlantic opened up 60 million years ago).
