Background Story: The Order of the Ebon Talon
The Order of the Ebon Talon is a mysterious and elite faction residing in the harsh, frozen wastelands of Navezgane. Their purpose is to protect the remnants of humanity from the relentless undead. The Order’s origins are whispered in survivor camps, where tales of their swift justice and unseen presence evoke both fear and hope.

The Ebon Talon Citadel
Nestled on open ground near an abandoned town, the Ebon Talon Citadel stands as a towering fortress shaped like a raven. The citadel is built over a natural hot spring, providing the essential warmth needed to survive the freezing temperatures of the snow biome. Its patchwork, open-air structure contrasts the cold world outside with the warmth and life inside.

The wings house the living quarters and planning rooms. These areas offer rest for the Order's members and provide space for strategic planning to protect Navezgane’s survivors.

The head of the raven serves as the primary lookout point for the Order. Rangers keep watch from this elevated position, scanning the wasteland for any signs of zombie hordes or approaching survivors in need of aid. From here, the Order ensures that no threat approaches unnoticed.

In the chest of the raven, a different kind of vital activity takes place. A plant nursery flourishes here, where seeds are altered to survive and grow in the harsh snow biome. Alongside the nursery is a library, offering members a quiet space to read, study, and reflect. This area provides mental and emotional relief, balancing the Order’s otherwise harsh existence. Additionally, the brewery produces special brews unique to the Order, fostering camaraderie and celebration among the faction’s members.

Surrounding the base of the raven, within the protective walls of the citadel, are additional living quarters, farming plots, and relaxation areas. These spaces offer a touch of normalcy amid the chaos, with the geothermal warmth allowing farming plots to flourish, producing food to sustain the Order.

At the base of the raven, the citadel’s core, lies the armory, mess hall, and workshops. The armory is the heart of the Order's defenses, stocked with a variety of weapons and armor, all carefully maintained by skilled craftsmen. In the workshops, these craftsmen also repair gear and create new tools from the resources scavenged in the wastelands. The mess hall is a communal gathering place, where members share meals and stories from their expeditions. It is a hub of social interaction and unity, offering both nourishment and companionship to the members of the Order.

The Rangers and Assassins
The Order consists primarily of rangers and assassins, highly skilled in stealth, survival, and combat. The rangers are experts in the wilderness, moving silently through the snow-covered wasteland to scout out zombie movements and gather resources from infested towns. The assassins specialize in close-quarters combat, silently dispatching threats and protecting the citadel.

Gatherers of the Wasteland
The Order’s members often venture into zombie-infested towns to scavenge materials. They are resourceful, using whatever they find to strengthen their citadel. Every mission into the wasteland is a calculated risk, balancing the need for resources with the dangers of the zombie hordes.

Guardians of Navezgane
Though feared for their lethal efficiency, the Order of the Ebon Talon is also seen as protectors of the remaining survivors in Navezgane. They respond swiftly to calls for help, their presence offering hope in a land of despair. The Order stands as both a sword and shield, forever watching over the remnants of humanity in the frozen wastelands of Navezgane.
