This was supposed to have been uploaded a long time ago. But then I'm not exactly known for my timeliness when it comes to uploads.
Chaos Mode was created by using the Action Replay codes "Unrestricted Kart Selection" and "Purely Random Items." The item code makes it possible for any character to get any item, including any specials, in any place. This means you now have an equal chance of getting a lightning or star in first, or getting a single banana in last! The code is slightly glitchy, but aside from that, it makes the game really fun and unpredictable. The result is (usually) nothing short of pure chaos!
This is the final extra from my Chaos Mode Custom Tracks video. The race featured in this video on Wii Rainbow Road was featured in that video as well, I am just uploading the entire cup it was pulled from for consistency's sake. This custom track was the roughest of the 4 I did, though that doesn't mean it's not still a great track! It just needs a bit of polishing and smoothing out, and the AI lines might need a bit of tweaking as there were a lot of permanent AI death loops scattered throughout the track leading to the situation in the later half where it was just me and two other AIs still actually racing. The track is still a work in progress though and I look forward to seeing it improved as time goes on!
As for the races, I was actually quite satisfied with how they turned out. Unlike the last extra, there wasn't as much frontrunning going on this time around which kept me in the vortex (as TWD98 and NMeade would say*) and allowed these races to be plenty more chaotic than last time. That Wario Colosseum race in particular, the amount of shocks there could rival a whole cup of item rain in Mario Kart Wii...
Looking across all of these videos, I noticed that the RNG seed might have been a bit bugged on Dolphin, as it seemed like the first set of item boxes hit in each race gave out the exact same items each time, though everything after seemed to be properly randomized.
*Seriously though, if you somehow haven't heard of them or watched their Mario Kart videos, I highly recommend you do so.
