"Serbi Dio l’Austriaco Regno" ("God Save the Austrian Kingdom") was an Italian translation of the 1854 version of the Austrian imperial anthem, “Gott Erhalte, Gott Beschütze”. It was the unofficial version of the anthem sung by Italians in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, especially in the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia that was formed after the Congress of Vienna. The kingdom was dissolved after the Third Italian War of Independence of 1866 (part of the Austro-Prussian War).
Personal note: Apologies if the English translation of the lyrics is poor. This is a formal or poetic form of Italian that I struggled to translate.
Italian lyrics:
Serbi Dio l'Austriaco Regno,
Guardi il nostro Imperator!
Nella fe' che Gli è sostegno,
Regga noi con saggio amor!
Difendiamo il serto avito,
Che Gli adorna il regio crin!
|: Sempre d’Austria il soglio unito
Sia d’Asburgo col destin! :|
Siam concordi: In forze unite
Del potere il nerbo sta!
Alte imprese fian compite,
Se concordia in noi sarà!
Siam fratelli, E un sol pensiero
Ne congiunga e un solo cor:
|: Duri eterno questo Impero!
Salvi Iddio l'Imperator! :|
English lyrics:
God save the Austrian Kingdom,
Protect our Emperor!
With the faith that sustains him,
He rules us with wise love!
We defend the ancestral wreath,
That adorns the royal head!
|: Forever the Habsburg throne
Is united with Austria's destiny! :|
We are concordant: in united forces
The strength of the body remains!
High endeavours shall be completed,
If concord is within us!
We are brothers, and one sole thought
And one sole heart joins us:
|: To bear this eternal empire!
God save the Emperor! :|
