3:54 PM - #IFD assisted Greenwood Fire Department with Tactical Dive Operations after a driver left the road and crashed into a nearby retention pond at 963 Worthsville Rd. IFD Units including Tactical Dive Rescue Team 7 were dispatched to assist and provide divers to conduct subsurface operations. While one adult was pulled from the vehicle shortly after the crash by Greenwood Fire, information regarding other possible occupants was not yet confirmed. IFD Divers conducted and cleared a primary and secondary search and then hooked the car for towing out of the pond. No additional occupants located. Sadly the occupant of the vehicle did not survive. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
