This is a gem of a composition by composer Papanasam Sivan on Lord Shiva in Chidambaram. The rhythmic gait (in threes or thishra nadai) adds even more beauty to the composition. Listen to how the seasoned percussionists have embellished the song! Happy to have been accompanied by Vid. Madan Mohan (violin), Vid. Thiruvarur Vaidyanathan (mridangam) and Vid. N Guruprasad (ghatam) with Smt. Geetha (tambura).
This will also be my last Youtube upload for the year 2024, what with the December season concerts fast approaching. At the beginning of the year, I set out on a seemingly impossible task of sharing a video a week, and now I can say that it's been done. All thanks to my loving wife Sreshta who put in her time to shoot and edit the videos in time!
