The American state of Illinois is ranked as the second most corrupt state in the whole of the U.S. Known as the 'Land of Lincoln', where the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln was a congressman, he set a standard for Illinois politicians that seemingly few have lived up to. As of 2022, 4 out of the 10 most recent Illinois governors ended up serving time in prison, and previous analysis estimated that corruption costs Illinois taxpayers over $550 million per year. This documentary is a scathing indictment of politics in Illinois that looks at the pervasive culture of political corruption; serving as a cautionary tale to all states across America.
