Sometimes you have to realize when you're getting carried and just let your teammates do their thing.
In game 1, I was basically the set up man, and Kirishima would finish the kills. He was following me around and listening to pings and only engaged in fights when the team was ready, so I really like him as a teammate. That first fight vs AFO, I used the Warp Tech to pull my beta hitbox to AFO. It's a risky move, but very rewarding and and cool to pull off. I was glad Kiri showed up. The fight might have taken a bit longer and Yellow Ochaco would have showed up. At the mall, Kiri force Ochaco into a small room, I moved to the other door to block her exit. Then I used a corner show to block the door and force her toward me and finish her off with a beta.
Fight the Rapid Toga was a bit annoying since she wasn't doing what I wanted her to, so I had to be patient. I ended up just scaring her off and saving her for later.
8:44 This Todoroki, I used a grab cancel on. In hindsight, that might have been a bad move since I think I could have just killed him. Either way, he got a lucky break then some dumb glitch happened with my beta and he got to get away.
9:03 This is why Ibara's can't leave Mirio's alone. Didn't see this man all game and the only time he attacks me, it's a kill shot, or at least would have been. Anyways, I used my full I-frames to stay alive and Kiri came in with the clutch team heal.
The final fight was a bit rough. I thought it was 1v3 but I was wrong, so I ended up wasting my PU trying to flex. That's why you got stay humble around here. And my Tamaki just decided to cook himself in storm for no reason and never heal up afterwards.
Game 2, started off bad. My technicals didn't really have a good loot phase and I couldn't catch the Todoroki. At the mall, this is why positioning is so important for Ibara. My team established the cafe as a safe spot. Considering I was max beta, I should have played the door and just not let Denki or Monoma get inside. Instead I run out into the courtyard and get double teamed. Luckily my teammates were able to finish what I started and get away.
When I was brought back, I had time to think about how to play smarter so I took a more reserved approach to the match. Since I didn't have my GP potions, I didn't start fights on sight, or at least I didn't commit. I just looked for weak or distracted targets and took them out and made sure I was around and not in the ground in case my teammates go down.
When I got my levels high, that's when I can really get aggressive. 23:24 I rolled into the building for a second to avoid this nejire's beta/gamma. And at the end, I waited on the high ground to stop the other teams from taking it and only dropped when I where they were healing at.
Sometimes you need to adjust your play mid-game if what you're doing isn't working.
Oh yeah, and I was running my old 1-star tuning.
