Maverick songwriter/producer Jethro Pickett returns with beguiling, off-kilter single, ‘Run’, and accompanying film clip.
Shot around Coburg in the summer of ‘23, the clip for ‘Run’ plays with transformation and movement, showing Pickett at times pillion passenger on Vespa (driven by Yianni Warnock). Such motion is juxtaposed with eerily still, suburban mise-en-scènes.
The song ‘Run’ was recorded in the 120 year old boat shed that doubles as Pickett’s studio and residence. The track features Ani Lou (Kate Southorn) and Conor Deasy on vocals, Beau Thomas (drums) and Adrian Whitehead (bass). Recorded and mixed by Pickett, the track was mastered by Maria Rice & Jeff Lipton (Jeff Tweedy, Kevin Morby), Peerless, Boston.
