This was a hard one to record. Just two days earlier, in the early hours of the morning my sweet friend the violinist Corinne Chapelle, died of a stroke having battled bravely with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. I had already broken my 9-day streak with a few days off and had to get back to it. (I am currently on Day 36 of recording so have been more consistent this time).
It seemed fitting to play this in memory of her. I wish it could have been better prepared and accompanied, but I couldn't just record as if nothing had happened and not dedicate this to her, so I played it with love for her, if not polish. I know she would not mind!
