The Cal Golden Bears got their 5th win of the season as they defeated rival Stanford in the ACC’s first Big Game, 24-21. Cal QB Fernando Mendoza was 25-36 from the pocket for 299 yards and 3 passing touchdowns. He added another 35 yards rushing. Jonathan Brady hauled in two of Mendoza's scores (5 Rec, 64 Yds) and Trond Grizzell had 4 catches for 70 yards and another score. Cal's defense held Stanford to 259 total yards. Stanford's defense registered 6.0 sacks and 11.0 tackles for loss on the afternoon. Stanford running back Justin Lamson had 2 rushing scores and Emmett Mosely V had a receiving touchdown.
