2025 KBF National Championship Victory!

Follow along during the one-day shootout that is the 2025 KBF National Championship brought to you by ‪@ChadHooverFishing‬ and Kayak Bass Fishing!
Thanks to a few lucky culls throughout the day, I ended up with a 5 fish total of 99.75 inches!
I had tried to pattern the fish in the grass in practice, but couldn't get a solid pattern of large fish together. After a move to the docks I quickly started catching fish that were slightly larger than average. During the tournament I kept with the pattern of fishing docks with my handmade jig. Putting the jig in the hardest to reach places deep under the docks made the difference throughout the day. Another key pattern that I noticed the day before the tournament was that a lot of the largest fish were tucked up under the eelgrass mats that had blown up against the docks. The fish I had been catching under the mats were mostly comprised of 19+ inch fish. Luckily I was able to capitalize on one of the mats for a 20.25 fish that pulled up quite a bit for me!

The most important tools that allowed this all to happen are of course my ‪@OldTownCanoeKayak‬ Autopilot 136 which allowed me to cover 8-10 miles of docks each day while standing and skipping!
